The Fall

Words emanate from my mouth,
The origin being my heart,
Leaving myself open to pain,
As I become vulnerable,

My feelings strengthen,
Which my words and actions showcase,
As I begin to fall,
In your direction,

For every moment that we share,
I fall a bit further,
Praying that you catch me,
That you accept my love,

Gifts I give,
Poems I write,
Expressing my innermost thoughts and feelings,
The ground closing in,

I look up for acceptance,
Look up for love,
Before an agonizing pain fills me,
As I fall to the ground.
