Change

Is it really all that great?

Is change as great as it is in our minds?

Is it helping or have we crossed the line?

Our world was once beautiful

as was the people,

but now respect is lost.

And our paths are all crossed.

 

There are no more special days

For the meanings are now astray.

Many have lost their way

all because we had to change.

 

Our world was once a wonderful place

full of happiness; full of grace

Until we decided to make it different.

Tell me- was it worth it?

 

Our generation is full of disgrace

Truly a downfall in the human race

I do not mean to imply we'd be better off dead,

what I mean is we should try using our heads.

 

Many people fail to realize

that what is happening before our eyes

is not as great as it may seem

Perhaps change isn't such a good thing.

Author's Note

Please keep in mind I love our species but somedays I do question what we change. I don't mean we shouldn't go forward. I mean we should try and be more like the past generations: respectful.
