A Loved One

A Loved One

A Poem by McKenna

The death of a loved one is sad like that,

it doesn't matter how much you grieve over the loss.

The slightest reminder of that person-

an object or a spoken word-

can bring you back to the moment you lost them,

then,

it's like losing them all over again.

it's odd how the little things are what matter the most.

I feel the words...the format should be adjusted if this was meant to be a poem. It certainly has a meaningful message.
