If...

If...

A Poem by TheReal

If I could shift the seasons and hold on to time
I would never let go of you and I.
If I could prove I love you, you'd still be alive
Cause nothing truly loved ever dies.
If "I miss you" could resurrect a physical being,
Then my eyes would be so lost in what they were seeing
If the stroke of my pen could make you breathe again
Would we be the same way as we were back then?
If my mind could comprehend the power of your presence
If I could ever reach half the level of your essence,
Would you even be proud of the me you see?
Or would I be just another leaf on a dying tree?
If I could reach out and graze your hand
I'd collapse at the power of your touch.
I'd count a deserts stretch of grains of sand
Just to prove that I love you that much.

I loved this!
You softened the power of much of your writings and created a piece that flows like the thoughts of a lover.
As always, I am impressed.
