Love Kills

Love Kills

A Poem by Bernadette

Short poem about toxic relationships...

"
"Love Kills"

Love kills and it will get you too,
Rip you to pieces, you won't have a clue.
Your fondest memories, the only glue.

Lying to yourself, it cant be that bad
But patience is fading like a worn out fad.
Love kills and it will destroy everything you thought that you had

...

These tears echo the memory of a ghost.

Was it mine or had it been yours?
I could not tell, and I never will.

A youths stitched soul, frayed by time.
Torn to shreds, for a victimless crime.
I couldn't have known it would end up like this.

A life I never lived, and a heart that never loved,
my brain never learned,
and my body stopped moving.

This night will be mine the last from many,
I no longer cry, nor scream not any.
Please, let my body be free and rest.

Forever at last I can finally breathe,
this pain will leave and I'm left to seethe;
For causing wounds that will forever last.
Goodnight my soul, and to you my past.

the poem has a very broken feel. but I think it fits with the emotion your trying to portray. in a weird sense it helps to drive the message forward
