Emotions Hurt The Most

Emotions Hurt The Most

A Poem by Edward

They say people are our worst enemies,
And solitude is our only solace and remedy.

Well there are a lot more things in this world that hurt,
Even more then getting shot and blood oozing over your white shirt.

Emotions, kill.
Every single emotion known to man can cause blood to spill.

The ying and yang struggle for balance can corrupt you,
As every good thing you do causes grief to brew.

It's no wonder why anger makes fools bend to power,
Turning and bending words secretly against people and sending their men and women to kill and deflower.

Anger helps your adrenaline flow, but slowly poisons your very heart and soul,
And being good tends to only pump your heart full of fireless coal.

Love, can break, and even kill you,
Depending on what you want it to do.

Emotions consume you,
Especially when they build and allow dark things to brew.
