Decisions

Decisions

A Poem by Edward

They say they will be there when he needs them,
Or did they lie to him? So they could get his precious gem?

He has to be the sender, he never gets anything on the receiving end,
It's like this all the time for him, it isn't a weird trend.

"Hey" silence, "Hey, how are you?" Silence is his only reply,
He can do nothing more, all he can do is sigh.

So is this it? The sign that he should leave?
To travel to different lands, is it too hard to believe?

They all say " No! Don't leave! We need you here."
Then everyone disappears.

Like ghosts disappearing into the midnight breeze,
Maybe he should go and ignore their false please.

Stay or go?
Or maybe he will just sit, and wait for the snow.
