Its Always The Word No

Its Always The Word No

A Poem by Edward

I watch him try and try,

He cant get over the word Good-Bye.

He texts her constantly trying to get her back,

But she likes some other guy named Jack.

I always see him around,

But he cant even make a sound.

He trys to impress her,

With looks,

But she dosent even stir.

I feel bad for him,

For ive been in that position too.

He cant even say hello,

Without making her draw that bow.

It makes him go down with a big blow,

Just like a doe falling down in the snow.

I think this is the first poem that I've read by you before and it's actually quite wonderful. The words flowed beautifully and this seems so real. I guess because it's totally relatable to a lot of others. I've once been in the position to like a guy that I knew liked my best friend (current ex-best friend). I never could let the fact of him liking her and not me. I always questioned what's wrong with me? I couldn't smile for months. All I shedded were tears but eventually I found a guy that has never made me sad. He's always have made me smile, laugh, and feel really loved. People sometimes have to accept the truth even if it's not what they want. We don't always get what we want. I feel bad for the guy but he has a lot of confidence and he's a strong person. He doesn't want to accept rejection and he's making sure that he does all that he can to win the girl over. The rhyming was splendid and the emotions were raw and spilled right from the heart. :) Excellent.

"I feel bad for him,
For I've been in that position too"-- Sadly, like I've mentioned above that I was once in his sad situation too! It totally sucks!

I like the flow of thoughts and the directness of the words. Hard to change another opinion. Sometime no is the answer. Best to move on and hope for a better day. Thank you for sharing the excellent poem.

You know. Rhyming is so played out, most poems I read that feature this are trash.
But, this is fresh and very nicely written.
I really enjoyed reading this.
Great word choices and you gave me a clear and entertaining vision of this boys wanting. Very nice.

(It makes him go down with a big blow,

this is beautiful, really powerful with a great choice of words, it has so much emotion to make the reader think that you actually have been in this position, it's lovely, keep up the good work!!
