Kaiser

Kaiser

A Poem by Alex B. H.

I'm stuck in this cabin that lies in the woods.
It has no windows or doors.
I have no visitors or company.
All I have are the thoughts of inner me.

"Cut out a hole for you to crawl through."
"No!", I yell. "I have nowhere to go to."
I may hear birds sing, or an occasional coyote howl,
But I must not give in. I am not allowed.

I am the Kaiser of this place.
This is the only place where I can show my face.
