Infamous Last Words

Infamous Last Words

A Poem by The Protagonist

For all my friends and time we've spent.
For all the lies and truths I've bent.
For all the colour in my veins.
For all the promises I've made.
For all the nights, bleak, dead and black.
For faith I never had to lack.
For all shadows that the sun won't touch.
For every time I loved too much.
For noises drowning out in the rain.
For compromises made with pain.
For a reason to live, someone to miss.
For as I die,
I wish to live.

The rhyme was near-perfect. The read deserved a review. Well done.
