Defeat Is a New Day

after losing state in basketball I wrote this

Defeat is a feeling, that cuts us to the core A painful reminder, that we are not always sure We may stumble and fall, and feel like we're lost But defeat is not the end, it is a high cost

For in defeat, we find a chance to grow To learn from our mistakes, and make them not so To rise up once more, and try again And show the world, that we are still in the game

So let us not dwell on defeat, but use it as fuel To ignite the fire, within our hearts and soul For though we may stumble, and fall along the way Defeat is not the end, it is a new day.
