Forget

Forget

A Poem by John Holmes
"

What are we to think or Feel, when Love has consumed us in its entirety?

"

The words
That come so clealy
To me
In the darkest nights
When my breath is warm
With the spirits
Made to make me forget
Fade in the light of day

With sleep in my eyes
And pain in my head
I wonder what i should say
And then I remember
I once knew
But no longer.

So now i lie here
Wanting to speak
But honestly
I think you prefer the silence
And I finally understand why

Words cannot convey
What life really is
But time can
Silence can.

I like the last two stanzas, they speak volumes, great work and very emotional and quite profound

and this is perhaps why not saying anything says so much...these words rang true and I loved it!
