Do you...

Do you...

A Poem by John Holmes
"

The poem itself is a reflection of how I feel at the moment, I have been quite sad these last few days and I need to try and deal with it, I cannot let this consume me.

"

How could anyone every understand

this swirling,

cascade of fire and death

inside of my soul?

How could anyone ever understand

the blizzard in my heart,

of lightning and hail.

How can you not see

the dead stars

in my gentle eyes?

Do you not feel it?

the Venom in my veins when I hold you tight?

or the Fire in my flesh

when you walk beside me?

Do you not see

the pain cracked upon my lips

when i smile?

Do you not hear

dreams die to my footfalls?
