What are you?

What are you?

A Poem by John Holmes
"

A poem I wrote about a young lady i am insane about. I recently re-discovered it and I thought you all might appreciate it.

"
For what are you?
But a salve of my heart.
A soothing, cooling touch,
To my raging storm.

For what are you sweet Nancy?
Wonderful? Kind? Passoninate?
None of these words do you justice.

Only the sparkle of eyes,
filled with truth of feeling,
and raging storms,
Could ever hope to describe
what you’re to me.
And even then.
I guess,
it is but a shadow,
Through a window,
Of what i feel for you

I like the theme. She is an enigma.

Great job :)
