Lonely

Lonely

A Poem by John Holmes
"

this week has been a sad week, I have lost a lot, and i suspect more will go soon. Loneliness has creeped upon me in the light of day.

"
Down this lonely road do I walk
evermore
forever and ever
do I walk
alone
so very alone
In light of day
I had it all
friends
family
A woman.
Now all I have is my lonely soul.
staring into the abyss that is the daylight.
in the early morning
on a winters frost
I lost
it all.
friends
companionship.
I lost it all.
Loneliness crept upon me
in the light of day.
I could not see
I can not see
I will not see
I am so very alone.
do not know where I shall go.
I cannot even look into the abyss
that is the next morning.
