Strings

Strings

A Poem by John Holmes
"

I wonder who has power over you?

"

You can’t keep it out.

you can’t keep it out

the music

the tune

that little noise in your head

move left

move right

move!

it never stops does it

drums?

a harp?

the simple clapping of hands?

The Violin?

What do you hear my dear friend?

what do you hear poor unfortunate soul?

What tune do you dance too?

who has got you on strings?

I hope

for your sake

it is someone who is kind.
