Escape

Escape

A Poem by TheOther

Where have you hid yourself lately?
I've raced against the time to get a glimpse of you.
I swam across oceans of sorrow days and nights,
in hope to reach for your hand.

I fought for you endlessly again and again.
I threw myself into the fire to save you.
But still no trace of you...
You are gone again, this time forever.

The shadows of me and you,
will never disobey the darkness that covers them.
In this abysmal tragedy we are trapped in
Where have you lost yourself lately'?

Beyond imagination all truths all fears
What scares you the most?

The memories sharper than blades, our past.

And there is no where to run from it.

. the wise often say that those who forget history are condemned to repeat it ... and i can't help but remember all those memories that i am most afraid of ... you write powerfully and invite thoughts ... your words are very compelling ...

This is wonderfully written!
A deep and hard hitting search inside that has longing for realisation, a powerful bleed through!

This creates a vivid sense of longing... I enjoyed the imagery of crossing oceans of sorrow. Dark and gripping, well done...

Breathtaking...your words cut like a knife, wash across me like an ocean, paint my mind with emotion. Two lovers, stuck on opposite sides of an ocean of sadness. Wonderful poem!

It's a very beautifully written poem. Each of your lines are holding so much emotions. It's a dark and powerful poem. " I threw myself in the fire to save you. " My favorite line, it holds so much pain and sacrafice. Excellent!
