Still Here

Still Here

A Poem by TheOther

I just dropped by to say I love you.
That the walls you've build around you
were never good enough to hide you.
I see you, as you are.

I assure you I'm perfectly fine, but I lied.

I miss you more every second that passes

and it's tearing my heart apart to have to walk away,

to live another blank day, without you.

Everything's changing,

days turn to nights as the world spins around,

but I'm still here.

Right here, like I'll always be.

A silent guardian to you,

just to hear your heartbeat.
Sacred is the thought of you

and I am yours, forever.

Now I'm done, I've said it all.

I know you hate too much words.

It's getting late and I should leave,

but love's what kept me here all along...

You definitely know how to drag the reader through your pieces, and this one I think is one of your best.

Wow, so intense and haunting. Creative too. I agree with Sammie Rain too. All of what she said is true. Just an amazing peice of writing. :)

You have an amazing gift. Your pieces have the best opening lines. You know just how to get the reader to read the whole poem. Amazing read.

Very beautiful poem. Well written, a couple of small hiccups but nothing major. Great read. Well done.
