The Book of Life

The Book of Life

A Poem by Nicola

Turn the pages, turn the pages,

Your next chapter awaits.

Written out so carefully

In blood, sweat and calligraphy.

Look now, glance back, to things that have been;

Those that you loved and sights that you've seen.

A drop of feeling will spread like ink-

So don't think.

Run straight through this volume, to the next, and the next

Where surprise and discovery wait with impatience

To be your true companions.

It's genre-specific and oh, so horrific;

The agony you fell through.

Stumble no more.

The climax is calling.

In this literature you call Life.

or

2. The climax is calling.
In this literature you call Life.

If you always write like this, you are publishable.
