Masterpiece

A Poem by Nicola
"

A piece written when I was 15, which I came across recently and edited.

"

Have you ever felt like the world

Is slipping away..?

Every passing day seems riddled with bitter anguish.

Woven with clues and hints of what may be my joy;

Silly things that I enjoy, but as I reach towards it

The glint of light will fade-

Extinguish, diminish.

The tapestry is frayed.

And as I pull the thread, my work will

Fall apart…

Myriads of tricks and lies proved worthless all along.

So this creation I slaved over for nights and nights again

Is lost before my eyes, clouded by my tears.

For the clues and hints that solved the riddle of my life

Of why I can’t be free

Come undone from my masterpiece.

Great work and only 15 when you started to see that it is this world that is the illusion. If you try to grab at, it "falls apart & slips away." Why, can't we be free? The Great Truth is that we are free! It is our own thoughts and blind acceptance of the illusions of this world that makes us slaves to the baser levels of this plane.
