Immortal Beloved

Immortal Beloved

A Poem by Urza's Severed Head
"

Tried my hand at a horror poem

"
I peer at you by candlelight,
your face illuminated by subterranean night.
Still the same! Nothing disturbed, not even a hair!
Your face remains with features bright,
glowing in the moldy air.
Yes, all the same as when I left you there.

For my actions, love, forgive me.
I could not let your evil be!
Hearty valor saw your fall,
and knowing I loved thee,
I answered the call
and tore from you the root of it all.

That heart which pumped evil through your veins,
I tore it out and let the light be slain.
Now, together we may embark.
deep within this tomb where you've laid
until my heart can leave its mark,
for we can only love where it is dark.

I will keep you safe and hidden here,
where the moss is too thick for prying eyes to peer.
So, in this dungeon lay your head,
pushing away all your fear,
ignoring the floor your blood stained red
and let us sleep among the dead

Ah, how I love to be together
with you trapped in my chains forever.
Where the light will not be let in
and features will not weather.
Now I lay inside my coffin
forever beside my immortal beloved.
