The Kind of Lullaby that Doesn't let you SleepA Poem by T.Marie2 cartons of cigarettes and 3 bottles of gin they do nothing to sooth the pain I'm in
Traded my soul in for the heart of somebody else
But the lights in the chandelier began to fade If only my attempt had worked You wouldn't be lying in dirt Your voice still sings to me Not the type that lets you sleep 2 cartons of cigarettes and 3 bottles of gin The warmth you gave me won't seem to stay in I'm going insane From the pain That you have left me, it ignites me Don't hate me, don't despise me How far will I go? I don't know Knife to skin Man I really shouldn't have drank those bottles of gin All this darkness Will it harness The loneliness That's on my chest Hold me while I drown Make sure to smile Please don't frown It's not over All this pain Turns out it would have left anyways © 2015 T.MarieAuthor's Note
