The Sabbath Day: Yahovah's High Holy Day

From the very beginning, until now, and long after we are Dead, The Creator of the universe Sanctified the Seventh Day of the week and Made it, His Day of Rest. He Also Commanded us to keep this same day of Rest Holy as a Sign forever of the covenant with His people. He did NOT move the Day to the First day of the week, like most mainstream churches teach. Even Yeshua Ha Meshayach Observed the Sabbath Saying that He was Lord of the Sabbath.

Genesis (Beresheet) 2: 2-3

2 And on the seventh day Elohim

completed His work which He had

made. And He rested on the seventh

day from all His work which He had

made.

3 And Elohim blessed the seventh day

and sanctified it, because He rested

from all His work on it, which Elohim

had created to make.

We See this statement in the beginning of Scripture, The Creation. Elohim Yahovah After completing his rested, then blessed the day because He rested on it.

אנו רואים '"צ"ר" זו ת-ילתו של מקרא, "'ריא". אלו"ים Yahovah לא-ר שסיים אותו נ-, ולא-ר מכן 'רך את "יום כי "וא נ- על ז" ..

Exodus 20: 8-11

8 Remember the Sabbath day, to

keep it holy2;

9 six days you shall labor and do all

your work;

10 and the seventh day is a Sabbath

to YAHWEH your Elohim; you shall

not do any work, you, and your son,

and your daughter, your male slave

and your slave-girl, and your livestock,

and your stranger who is in your gates.

11 For in six days YAHWEH made

the heavens and the earth, the sea, and

all which is in them, and He rested on

the seventh day; on account of this

YAHWEH blessed the Sabbath day and

sanctified it.3

Here we see Furthur instruction commanding us to keep the Sabbath. God felt it so important in fact, He declared it a sin NOT TO KEEP IT. He placed this in the Torah, or the Law, To keep us from putting other things before Him, to keep us ever looking toward the Sabbath and His rest All through out the Week.

כאן אנו רואים "וראת furthur מצוו" אותנו לשמור את "ש'ת. אלו"ים "ר'יש שז" כל כך -שו' 'עצם, "וא אמר שז" -טא שלא לשמור אותו. "וא "ני- את ז" 'תור", או "-וק, כ"י למנוע מאתנו לשים את ""'רים א-רים לפניו, כ"י לשמור אותנו אי פעם ל"סתכל לכיוון "ש'ת ומנו-תו לאורך כל "ש'וע.

Exodus 35: 1-3

1 And Moses assembled all the

congregation of the sons of Israel and

said to them, These are the Words

which YAHWEH has commanded, to

do them:

2 Work may be done six days and on

the seventh day it shall be holy to you,

a Sabbath of rest to YAHWEH;

everyone doing work in it surely shall

die.

3 You shall not kindle a fire in all

your dwellings on the day of the Sabbath.

You were to do no work and rest on the Sabbath.

So We See Here That God Took the Sabbath seriously. What did Jesus say and do about the Sabbath?

כך שאנו רואים כאן שאלו�"ים לק�- את �"ש�'ת �'רצינות. מ�" ישו אמר על �"ש�'ת?

Mark 2: 27-28

27 And He said to them, The

Sabbath came into being for man's

sake, not man for the Sabbath’s sake.

28 So then the Son of Man is Master

of the Sabbath also.

Why Would Yeshua make this statement about himself then move the Sabbath to Sunday? He wouldn't.  All Throughout the New Testament (B'rit Chadasha) Jesus Observed the Sabbath along with the apostles. Shouldn't We Also do the same?

Colossians 2:16-17

16 Therefore do not let anyone2

judge3 among you about eating, or

drinking, or in how you keep the feast

days, or the new moon, or the Sabbath

day4,

17 which remain shadows of coming

things5, but the body of Messiah6.

Paul was Not talking to Gentile believers Who were worshipping on Sunday, He was speaking to Sabbath Keepers. They were being judged heavily by the non Messianic people There and Paul was reassuring them the Sabbath was the True day of Worship. So Let no man Judge you.

Lets Find out What God Told the Prophet Isaiah about the Sabbath:

Isaiah 58: 13-14

13 If you turn your foot away

because of the Sabbath, from doing

what you please on My holy day, and

call the Sabbath a delight, to the

holiness of YAHWEH, glorified; and

shall glorify Him, to the holiness of not

doing your own ways, from finding

your own pleasure or speaking your

own words6;

14 then you shall delight yourself in

YAHWEH. And I will cause you to ride

on the heights of the earth, and make

you eat with the inheritance of your

father Jacob. For the mouth of

YAHWEH has spoken7.

Yahweh Wants us to observe the Sabbath and we should to the Glory of the father.
