A Poem by MrElbowman

Tears rolled off the tongue easy this time.

But next time will they sting my wounds?

Like salt to the eyes of the blind

Still paining this useless organ

My heart has vanished from the airwaves

My flaws are open season

See them?
I wish that I could change them
Say or do anything to bring back your smile
From cold arctic sun to dry deserts wide
No matter how far, no matter how long the mile
There I would stand in the mirror by your side
My heart only played on your airwaves
My flaws were never a burden for you to bear
