The Shadowhunter's Poem

The poem Alec wrote for Magnus Bane. (Not really in the books. This will show up later on in my book The Shadowhunter and The Warlock)

I remember when I met him.

It was so clear that he was the only one for me.

We both knew it... Right away.

and as the years went on,

Things got more difficult, we were force with more challenges.

I begged him to STAY

Tried to remember what we had at the beginning

He was charismatic,

Magnetic,

Electric.

And everybody knew it.

When he would walk in every head would turn.

Everyone would want to talk to him

He was like this hybrid,

this mix

A man who wouldnt contain himself

I always got the sense that he came torn between ebing a good person

and...

Missing out on all of the things that life of offered a man as magnificent as him.

And in that way I understood him

That I loved him, yes, I LOVED him...

I still love him.

Behind this warrior, lies a soft exterior
