and yet it pleases me

and yet it pleases me

A Poem by m.s.early

She is stopping me from sleeping.
Awakening the knots in my stomach.
And yet it pleases me.

love kittens, cats. This is wonderful, least I assume this is about a cat.

Knots indeed are a tie to life's loose end, that makes it all the more cosy, without it sad sleepless nights will occur... So it's a welcoming approach to sleepless ness... Nice poem

A welcoming approach to sleeplessness. Thank you poet.
I sometimes think of this kind of writing as a living thing living inside another living thing. And endophyte perhaps or how rose gardeners cut and fuse a cutting to create another color of the same beautiful thing. And since pleasure (the noun) is an agreed upon sensation, it secures the ego to the instinct. And yet the anticipation keeps us amused/ beautiful writing.....dana

Lovely thoughts Dana. Thank you so much.
Always a pleasure to have you visit
Those sort of knots are welcome. Losing sleep in such circumstances hardly a discomfort. Brevity which speaks of cupid.

Indeed! Thanks for visiting 😊
Indeed, there are discomforts that are simultaneously comforting. When those knots are no longer tied, something is lost.

I see the truth in that.
Than you for taking the time to read and comment.
I never minded losing sleep when love was adrift under the moonlight.
