hungry for inspiration

hungry for inspiration

A Poem by m.s.early

hungry for inspiration
and folding clothes on the back porch,
she is certain she missed the life
of a gypsy somewhere in her past.
and somewhere off that missed exit
she is certain that the skies are bluer
than these she knows.

'hungry for inspiration'
m.s.early,
This was great. It speaks to the busy place in our brains
which hold hands with our hearts. The place where we
imagine the what, where, how.
'she is certain she missed the life
of a gypsy somewhere in her past.'
Why do we do that? Because we are making a wish.
It's never to late to add little bits of these wishes
to our lives. I liked this one so much.

Gee
We all have those " if only" moments but dwelling on them does nothing but agitate, well I think so. Ya make ya bed :))

Wanting to escape the mundane life is probably common to a lot of people.
I like this a lot. Though the poem is simple, it puts the scene clearly in perspective.

Great writing.

I wandered away for a bit to hang clothes out on the line....but the back porch is calling and I'll sit for a bit and take a break from that laundry. I need to read a thought or two and maybe write...I've missed these ques.

I guess I could go on with how much I like this, but I believe you knew that I would...so, I'm just going to state the obvious and say that I've missed reading you, and wish you would stay longer than just a poem.

grass is greener, sky is bluer and that gypsy existence appears to her to have more experience to write about...she doesn't want to write about folding clothes..although I taught a poem in my lit class called "Folding Laundry" which was a wonderful allegory.
I really like this m.s.
the brevity but so much between the lines suggested.
