she walked in like ghost mistA Poem by m.s.early
she walked in like ghost mist hovering over a lagoon.
her voice soothed me like moonlight in autumn when it is captivated by bird calls in her evening we spoke of cuisine and restaurants while walking past boutiques. she touched me with the hand of an old soul. a thousand year old vision of our first meeting, during another lifetime, in another world reeled my mind in concentric circles and i found myself struggling to regain the moment. the street lights wash the azure, cirrus clouds whip the air, a saxophone marries a couple on a corner, traffic pauses under the signal light. her stride slows as we near the marquis on Cary she remembers something silently her eyes darken her hand, in mine, we round the corner and tour the next neighborhood. © 2019 m.s.earlyReviews
