still

still

A Poem by m.s.early

for a moment
i was able to be still.
hearts flew out of my hand
and i was able to see everyone.

i lacked everything comfortably,
and i could hear peace.

there was no loneliness
only echoes
of laughter healing all that shared it so.

A wonderful poem shared. A reflection on life. The echoes of things can make the silence, a time of story remembered. Thank you my friend for sharing the amazing poetry.,

i love the line..." i lacked everything comfortably" and wish i had written that one...just that concept...to have nothing and still be happy, just to have peace and friendship...and hearts rather than things...
yep, beautiful idea--

I love this becuz it's so unexpected. I love that every line is a fresh way to say each thing you're saying. I love how you use "still" to mean so much more than that. I really love the way you depict being "still" . . . so that it's even better than love or joy (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

That sounds like bliss. The world never seems to pause or sleep, the continual hum of life and living droning ever on. I've contemplated having an hour in a flotation tank just to escape for a wee while.
I like this piece, it sets ya mind to thinking.

Finding stillness is an art and a blessing, and this poem is a lovely expression of that truth

Sounds like a near death experience. It would be interesting to develop it further.
