reach for you and find you thereA Poem by m.s.early
I crept outside like a vandal
A Peeping Tom on the outside looking in Feeling like a lover undiscovered Like a dream that’s never been I looked up at the moon and wondered How do you know when to glow Why do you bother when no one understands Does it even matter anymore I’ve forgotten what it means To hear the music in the air I want to feel thunder inside my core Reach for you and find you there I feel the things I use to love And now I’m just tired and worn Looking back at the pain and doubt Wondering if I was ever really born I hope you still think of me When the night comes on It’s another long one for me They all are now that you’re gone I’ve forgotten what it means To hear the music in the air I want to feel thunder inside my core Reach for you and find you there I don’t know what would be different If I had you one more time Maybe nothing, maybe everything Maybe it’s barely better than dying Alone ain’t the place it use to be I could escape for moments to unwind But now I just want to crawl the walls And pray I don’t lose my mind I’ve forgotten what it means To hear the music in the air I want to feel thunder inside my core Reach for you and find you there © 2018 m.s.earlyReviews
