![]() speak to me in musicA Poem by m.s.early
i imagined her voice falling like the whole world upon me
and bursting into a thousand pieces. she wrote to me, “speak to me in music” and the sound of a thousand singing children in the temple choir rang relentlessly in my rattled cage. i pretended not to notice but the tempo quickened and the stress beat alternated... on the one then syncopated, like my heart, i palpitated. while her eyes in a painting wire me together the way a man is drawn and bound to the rocks by sirens, i will be praying incessantly in the density of my slipping sanity for the utterance of my name to be drawn from her lips salaciously © 2018 m.s.earlyReviews
