pansies at nightA Poem by m.s.early
the crashing waves were not muffled by the morning fog
seeping into my fabric like your kiss that never met anything but a thought of mine an unexpected signal blurred blinking on the horizon as forever waves continued crashing, pulling the sand from beneath my feet in the summer i saw your pansies. they were against a thick indigo night, a backdrop of fabric that cloned your smile and etched it sweetly into an indelible memory it came through my fog like a signal on a ship moving closer from the horizon to the tide always stealing the beach away from my stand © 2018 m.s.earlyFeatured Review
