the "you and me"

the "you and me"

A Poem by m.s.early

Do you see in the inky sky
The blinking eyes in the tell tale sea
They are blips between the “you and me”

The your, the my
The there, the why
White light is bent into infinity

Be it broken points
Celestial divide
Let poets see what to believe

Such stellar dust does slightly fly
Whipped from a windswept sea
Its crystal waves too quick released

Grant me lay in your lunar light
To live within the stars again
Which do reside between the “you and me”

Then close the tide
This maritime
Let poets ring light and fluidly

Their stroke tis true
With lips defy
Which words define the “you and I”

And calmly like the weight of sleep
Once rich with waves and crystallized
Now recedes into the sea

The ocean floor churns gracefully
The milky way, its clouds design
The space between the “you and me”

poets...we love the sea, we love the sky...and we like to write about "the why"--

and endlessly write about love and the "you and i' all that is in-between and how we define that space.

well done, m.s.
