if you're going to go

if you're going to go

A Poem by m.s.early
"

This is a song I wrote for a girl I used to know.

"

If you’re going to go, then go

But don’t leave behind any shadows or ghosts

And take all the things you couldn’t hide from me anymore

If you say you know, then you know

But don’t hide behind those idle threats that you throw

The truth is the light and the light will always show

You can build walls of stars around your personal galaxy

Watching them fall til they've all extinguished in the sea

I was your last shot at showing anyone that there was anything to you

So if you’re going to go then go because there’s nothing else you can do

When you’re wrong, you’re wrong

Left with emptiness and a one note song

There are moments of relief but they don’t last very long

When you’re in the flow, you flow

Your lies had a rhythm that I’ll always know

I wish I’d never loved you, I wish that you would just go

You can build walls of stars around your personal galaxy

Watching them fall til they've all extinguished in the sea

I was your last shot at showing anyone that there was anything to you

So if you’re going to go then go because there’s nothing else you can do
