promise

promise

A Poem by m.s.early

i promised myself to never kiss you again
those filthy overpainted crimsons
the night is not as lonely as you would wish me
i forgive you. it will be sometime before i forget you
but i’ve promised myself that too

damn this is good, x.

we promise ourselves to forget, we promise not to kiss again...

we break promises, and then make them again.

So good to read you again. This feeling I remember well, and I can imagine many will relate.

My lips turn pale and my eyes blue...I go weak with words and memories of yesteryears......can it be that time plays the same record continously? Don't make promises...you ll set yourself up for failure

ouch, the angst in this poetry clearly denotes the emotional connection you still have to this person. "the night is not as lonely as you would wish me" so sad when two planets collide.
