faith

faith

A Poem by m.s.early

The wicked
with hunger
insatiable as death
My daughter’s eyes,
are glory lights,
eternal heaven
she waits meekly
Faith is a vine
its produce is hope
and she is safely shadowed
beneath its leaves

With the world in turmoil, I wish I could hide in the leaves of love and faith. We must keep them safe at all cost ....they are the only salvation we have left.

Beautiful poem with a message of faith and hope and how we want our kids protected by it

Silver, you have a deep imprint on the words you mind construes. I am forever touched.

"Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith you shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked." Ephesians 6:16.

My son is eight, an age of innocence that still requires a watchful eye.

Beccy.

That last stanza is gorgeous - in words, image and sentiment. "Safely shadowed..." - perhaps only an illusion, but sometimes ignorance really can be bliss...

Xavier, I really like this one. It is clear that your love shines through here, and I like the way you alluded to her faith as something that offers her protection....very beautiful!

what a comfort to know that our daughter sits in the halo of a faith that protects...

i really like the oxymoron of "safely shadowed"---

today there is so much wickedness...we need to protect ourselves and our loved ones from it.

love the feel of this one.
