swallowed by the sea

swallowed by the sea

A Poem by m.s.early

If I love something too long it turns to rain,
Pit pats into the lakes,
Then swallowed by the sea.

But I'll breathe this one with breath fresh as spring
Into a balloon released,
Carried in soft water vapor,
Bowed along double variegation,
Into morphing sky loft clouds.

Will I whisper into winds
With warm words spoken truly,
Cast loosely as dandelion parachutes
Wafting gracefully?

For steam collects invisibly
On the uppermost azure cupola
Where there tugs Earth's affections
Drawing dreams from vapors
Collapsing into lakes

Then swallowed by the sea.

Beautiful poetry, Xavier.
I cant adequately review this;
your poetry is heavenly.

So, so glad you've added new pieces!

ahh, your writing always sings so gracefully -- I must admit, and I have said it before, I feel a little clumsy next to you. The first and third stanzas are my favourites, but all with beautiful imagery. For me it feels like surrendering to loving, despite what may happen in the end.

An outermost think. Great my friend. Love this and your vision.
