golden sun, ivory orb

golden sun, ivory orb

A Poem by m.s.early

As blessed as sky with golden sun
Crystalized by ivory orb
The bounty nigh of harvest's reward
Withholding naught less drought bestow
As ancient law precedes judgment's call
Clouds full gathered predicting rain
Although we'd rather harmonize sweet refrain
We've packed our things, now time we go
Avail waited sentence, defendant's claim
Declared true harmony, nature's accord
Along golden Sun, heaven's ivory orb
And all else in equity beneath earthly dome
Each witness waited like patient land mine
Behind quiet expressions until their time
Counting blessings each could afford
Graced by golden sun and ivory orb
Stirred night sky each passing breeze
Foreboding verdict in media magazine
Printed faces held fast to concrete floor
Tomorrow's news passed silently

A captivating poem about- I am assuming- the consequences of our refusal to acknowledge the natural beauty around us.
A beautiful subject, and a beautiful poem to boot.
Title drew me in, and the crafted diction kept me invested. I would say to create a more steady rhythm, but I know that's hypocritical, given my own poetry…
I'd love to know what you're inspiration to create this was, and if the last stanza had anything to do with it.
Great job! :D

Intriguing nature poem, sometimes our fate is in its grasp. I really like that second stanza best.

Quite refreshing... I'm quite fed up with romance and this theme has sparked my interest. I like your wordplay, Xavier. Keep it up!
