when she sees the milky way for the first time

when she sees the milky way for the first time

A Poem by m.s.early

When she sees the Milky Way for the first time,
the star soaked dust of the sky,
and we below nestled in the cradle
of cosmic care
pointing out constellations
waxed from forces that put us here,
I'll point out galaxies
that we were born before,
waiting for us to arrive no more

On an evening blanket ,
nestled in the cosmic cradle of fate
born of destiny,
we shall study the gravity
and consider that our future together
is beyond any of our decisions,
but rather we are now fruit
blooming on the universe's vine,
birthed as stars
and blazing beyond any conception or design

Once I have redeemed you
from the walls of Sodom
and we settle into the rolling hills
of my grandfather's fields,
we will have defied the reasoning of men
approaching with common sense,
perceiving us as happenstance

Then all will be aware
we are manifested by grace,
conceived by love,
delivered, and discovered

My sense for more was well rewarded. When I saw the title I stepped right up to the universe which along with the poem was tickling my feet.

On an evening blanket ,
nestled in the cosmic cradle of fate...

You have crafted some stunning images in this piece Xavier. Excellent!

I like the nostalgia that surfaces in some of your work:
'grandfather's fields' and such.
Great write.

I love the romantic imagery in this piece, although I puzzle the mystery of where he/she is rescued from, it is still a fantastic piece.

OH wow! That just blew me away! I can't seem to gather my words after such a beautiful write. The words you delicately spin sprinkled with star dust and cosmic love...again I say wow. Each line held such a gorgeous image, that I can't even begin to touch upon them, for fear it would disrupt their majestic flow. Simply spell bound by this write. Amazing work.

Yes we all are and if not have to reach that status as soon as possible, fate is not in our control, basically nothing is in our control, but right attitude, right perception and true belief is partially within our grasp which will help us to reach higher grounds of humanity for sure, real deep and with richer message, congrats

Your writes have a redeeming quality to it, your romance has a touching depth to it. You have discovered and delivered...Excellent...:)..................

it is in surrendering to the will of the Universe that destiny actualizes. these words engender trust and faith...it's pretty ballsy for you to venture into Sodom thinking some sodomite girl needs rescuing from her native land. but when she sees the milky way for the first time she will just know that this is where she was meant to be all along; on an evening blanket with you showing her constellations and galaxies. lucky sodomite.
