psalm

A Poem by m.s.early

Where they may spot my deficiency
yet you are aware even of my perfection
gained, atoned, reconciled
in such grace though it imputed.

Can my spirit serve as a prayer
yet a wisp, but even a whisper
carried by ascension for you?

I am found a servant,
humbled by desperation,
illuminated by submission,
dispensing by committed intent
that which freely has been given.

Even received by you,
proven by the flesh,
a reconciliation,
even imputed my debts
that my soul could pray forever
though my shell may yet expire.

Accept my psalm
in its impassioned tone,
my heart strings  reverberating
throughout the walls of my house
as grateful token
for the joy I am able to witness.

Amen.

thank you for seeking God; in so doing, your search blesses all that should heed God's loving words of edification to you, and in it find refuge and rest in JESUS CHRIST

A prayer, a poem, and a psalm. In fact, you might be read to be channeling the Davidic psalmist himself.

I love the third stanza.
You continue to reach the stars with verse.

i like the silvery tones of this, like whispers during vespers, or prayer

Oooo, I love how this could be very romantic love poem but at the same time a prayer, you are one smart dude. I tell you that.

This is beautiful, Xavier. It can be read as a love poem to another, and just as easily makes a lovely prayer. Excellent!

Gratitude and not counting our blessings is the most common reality, as grateful token
for the joy I am able to witness.

I get an obvious feeling of christianity from this one, but also a love poem or maybe even both?

I am aware of that xavier, less than a week away :)
Love and respect trumps all. This is an amazing, delicate, and soul binding prayer that you have delivered X! I am always so overjoyed when you post something new and I read through the lines and get to share the feelings of another's existence. There are great plans for you dear poet...great plans:)
