crosstie

crosstie

A Poem by m.s.early

designed by man's mind

plowed, carved, laid, ran

through backyard America

swamps, lowlands, runoffs

unforgiving skies fading

creeks, branches

property lines unfold

neighbors divided

fences, hedgerows

winter changed its face

broke its heart a little

rock-a-bye in grayscale

cities, town, villages

passerby intersection

pedestrian crossing

concrete, steel, dirt

crows along the power line

then there's nothing to see

Certainly these images make us appreciate the love and beauty of what is at home.
This is just right.

gritty imagery of the lands that lurk behind the amtraks's facades.needed to traverse to reach the winning goal. you didn't expect to encounter barren grey, sooty, 'concrete, steel, dirt', when leaving a serene rustic life. love disregards all of these and counts it as part of the journey to to the one you love. all is worth it once you lock eyes. then just know these alien lands is where you will find her waiting for you and make it all better...onset truth serum.

Excellent piece. Love the trains, seeing the world through the window or the different people as I go by in it. All the wonders of beauty that are around to be seen.

Train and packed passengers makes me feel I got a slice of the crowd I wanted to see always, the views I can dive in to any views even the tapping of a child walking by or a handsome man or beautiful woman in positive way, the nature's beauty I love most compared to everything when looking through the windows, but I use train barely , still love them a lot

Nothing cooler than the train - a force that made America truly united. Live the images in this piece, Xavier.
