the galleries of our mindsA Poem by m.s.earlyThen she asked, "Do you really want to know?" Know... And in the stillness of that moment I thought the word aloud Know... Considering the fallacy of reality, I internalized the conception of existence; It's an image in my mind. When she sees me, she turns her lovely eyes my way, And I give myself to her completely once they meet, But she only retains what she thinks she sees, What she thinks she knows. "Do you really want to know?" She asked. She was about to divulge, Deliver herself in words, To enlighten me on the innerness of her "being". The knowledge was ever present I would only be aware of my perception The context of her diction In what it would describe, And herself would exist in two pictures hung in the galleries of our minds.
