Fanet's bodyA Story by Dianna Ulmo“What do you want?” she screamed. He looked at her and smiled. His teeth were sharp as razors, though the look in his eyes she was sure hurt worse. He just looked at her and smiled and occasionally laughed, his laughter was high pitch and extremely creepy. It echoed in open space, and at the same time it did not scare her. It made her body shudder as though the laughter was actually physically touching her, like needles in her mind, yet it did not hurt. At any other time, and on any other person, his features would have been attractive. She admitted that he was attractive in a creepy Alice Cooper fashion, he had black rings around his eyes as if he hadn’t slept in months, and his lips were so dark blue that they were almost black. He stared at her, his head swaying from side to side, his shoulders seemingly not doing any work. His body shivering with excitement and his eyes flickering with a kind of preternatural light that flashed across like the reflection of a moving blue light, making his glowing orange eyes seem even more strange and mysterious. He bounced up and down on the balls of his feet, and seemed to be able to hop like an animal. He could stand, as she knew because he was standing when he found her. He wore a strange outfit, it was leather but it was stitched together like he had pieced it together from bits of leather he found randomly. He had long black hair though it was matted together with mud and sweat. He let out that cackling laugh again and both of them shivered. She wasn’t worried. She didn’t care if he killed her she wanted to die any way. She thought it would be exciting to be murdered by one as insane as this. She thought about when he had come to her only a few hours ago. He was different then; he had seemed human, weird, but human. He walked upright then and he had seemed pretty normal, a little strung out like he was coming down off a bad trip, but other then that…She would have never guessed. All the sudden he jerked back, he looked around with a new disposition. He looked at her and his smile changed, it was more normal, and she was sure it held a little joy in it. Not like the other smile, it had seemed to want to eat her, not physically, but with his eyes no less. “Who was here?” the man asked, he spoke with his hands over his mouth, he kept chewing on his finger tips, as though his nails needed to be cleaned or something. His teeth chattered as he sucked in his breath. He also seemed to be sniffing at the same time. He smiled again and giggled like a little child “You smell good.” He said, she stared at him, confused “What is going on here?” His gaze fell as though she had insulted him, but then he looked up, his eyes were sad but determined, “Uhm… I think J.R got-“ he stopped, trying to find the word, he gasped and smiled for a second, “Oh, hungry, for woman.” He nodded, but she was confused again. “You mean like sexually?” He grinned and averted his eyes and giggled “Yep.” He said, another question came to her “Who is J.R?” She asked. He bit his lip, nervous. “He is bad, and he lives in here with us.” “Us?” “Yeah, all seven, well there are more then seven but the rest barely talk.” “Ok, so who are you?” “Denny.” “Are you good or bad Denny?” “Denny’s good, but Denny’s sometimes gets bad.” He looked dawn again like he was ashamed “How do you get bad Denny?” She asked, getting worried. “Well, J.R, and Reble they like to go out and get food. Well, Denny sometimes helps.” She was nervous now. Was this guy on drugs or did he have like different personalities? “How do you help, Denny?” “Well Denny gets them to come close, then Reble comes and hits ‘em. Then J.R does what J.R always does.” “What does J.R do?” ”J.R…Uhm…Cuts ‘em. Then he likes to lick the cuts, he drinks their blood.” The last he whispered as if it were child hood gossip. “Who did I see first?” She asked, Freaked out but not knowing whether she was in trouble or not. ”What did they act like?” He whispered. “Well he acted jittery like he was on drugs or something.” She said. He smiled, “Oh that’s Eric, I wonder what he wanted from you. What’s your name?” ”Sarah.” She said tentatively “Huh, he usually goes after girls who sell themselves.” “Oh, well that’s it then.” She said. “I sell myself.” “Really? I thought you were to young to do that.” He said with amazement. She frowned, “I am fourteen.” He smiled “I wish I had of been that old.” “How old were you?” She asked. ”I was seven when J.R found me. My mommy had died and I was alone, and J.R found me.” He smiled “It only hurt a little bit. And then I was here with all the others. You will be here soon too.” “What do you mean?” She knew all to well but didn’t want to admit it. “Oh well you know, if Eric got you then you are gonna come in with us.” “You mean that every one in there was killed by J.R?” “No, most of ‘em were killed by Fenet.” “ Fenet?” She asked. She was wondering what was going on but she didn’t really want to know. ”Is this his body?” “Yes, do you want to talk to him? He can tell you how it is to be here.” “Sure, ask him to come and talk.” She said. “Ok, He’ll be out.” He closed his eyes and again jerked, and again a new look came onto his face. “Hello I think you are going to be the newest member of my body. It’s actually a very nice place. We all get our own space, and we all get a certain amount of time in the body. I am sure you will love it.” She stared at him; he had a look on his face like a used car salesman, big phony grin, and wide eyes. But in his eyes she could see something else, a hint of insanity, All the sudden everything came into perspective, this man was a murderer. He was going to kill her, whether or not she would go into his head she didn’t care but she did know that she was going to die. She smiled “Which one of you is going to kill me?” She asked, as if it was something simple. He was taken aback, he frowned, then he nodded. “While since you are being so agreeable I guess we should give you an easy death. Let’s see, I think Delta would be the best. I have heard he is very gentle.” He was being very agreeable. “Have I seen him?” She asked, “Yes he was the second one out. The one who was here when you woke up.” He stared at her wondering what she was thinking, “Okay, how soon can we get this over with?” She implored, she wasn’t afraid only in a hurry. He again was almost shocked at her boldness. “As soon as you want.” he said, he had an air of disbelief in his manner. Why wasn’t she scared? It didn’t matter. ”Do you want me to get him?” He asked. “Yes that would be great.” She said, again she wasn’t afraid. There was no trace of fear in her eyes, or her entire countenance. “Ok then he’ll be right out.” He closed his eyes and he jerked and then there was the man she knew would kill her, she smiled and laid back, ready for whatever was to come. He looked her up and down, and he shivered again with excitement, she closed her eyes and lay there, contented. She felt his hand touch her breasts, but not in a sexual way, he was casing her seeing how he could best kill her. His hands drifted over her, “Get it over with.” She whispered. He laughed, and said the first words she had heard him say. “My pleasure.” His voice dripped with malevolent joy. She opened her eyes and he laughed again. He put his hands to the sides of her head; he tilted it one way and then the next. Then suddenly he snapped it, a bolt of blinding pain went through her, and then she was sitting on a bed, the walls were strange, rounded, they were painted black with red splashes all over, like splashes of blood. She was sitting on the bed, it was soft and had a black sheet and blanket, and dark red pillows. There was a dresser in the corner, though it wasn’t really a corner, she walked up to it and found it full of leather clothing. There were dresses, pants, vests, corsets, and a few pieced together outfits like the one Fenet’s body wore. She looked down and realized she was nude. She slipped on a corset and saw that on top of the dresser was a whip she was sure hadn’t been there before. I was almost as though the room was accommodating for her outfit. The whip was about six-foot, a stock whip. She picked it up and cracked it once on the floor, liking the feel she kept it in her hand. She looked in the bottom drawer and saw it was full of shoes, she tried on a pair of stilettos, expecting them to be uncomfortable, but finding them comfortable she decided to wear them. She strutted to the door and walked out. She looked at her door and saw the words “Mistress’s Room” printed on them. So her name was Mistress, it seemed natural. She looked around; there were seven doors on this floor. They said in order Fenet’s Room, Delta’s Room, Denny’s Room, JR’s Room, Eric’s Room, Mistress’s Room, and Benta’s Room. The rooms were arranged in a half circle and when she turned around she saw a very strange sight. There was an easy chair in the middle of the room; it was facing two oval windows. She suspected that the windows were eyes, and that the chair might be the way to control the body. Right now a man sat in it that somehow she knew to be Delta. He had on one of the pieced together leather outfits; he had brown hair cut semi-short to were it hung around his head. She looked at him for a few moments, she knew he couldn’t see her because he was in charge of the body. “Hello Mistress.” She turned around quickly, caught off guard; a man stood next to her, he was unmistakably Fenet. “How are you adjusting?” He asked with honest compassion. She laughed,” I am doing fine. You really don’t talk like a serial killer.” He laughed slowly, a deep-throated growl of a sound. He licked his lips absently, as if an old flavor might still linger on his lips from his last taste of it. “Well that same thought has ended many lives Mistress. Come with me dinner is ready.” He said “What are we having?” She asked “You.” “What?” He smiled “Its tradition, you have to eat yourself.” She cringed, they were cannibals and they were planning to eat her body. “Do I have to?” She asked “Well not really, but you wont be able to stay up here anymore, the people who don’t eat themselves go down to level five.” There was something in his voice that said she did not want to go there. “Okay, so I guess I have to. Let’s go.” They walked to the other side of the room; there was a latter going down through the floor. She waited and Fenet climbed down first, then she went after. They were in a cafeteria, like the ones in schools. There were dozens of people sitting around eating, some of them had cooked food, some raw, and some just had tall glasses filled with a red substance that she didn’t want to know about. Fenet grabbed her arm and pulled her to a seat were a little boy was seated. “Hello Mistress, it’s me Denny.” He spoke with his hands over his mouth, still chewing on his fingertips. He had sandy-blond hair that came down slightly past his ears. He had big brown eyes and long eyelashes, if he had of been older he would have been cute. He was wearing another one of those pieced together outfits, though in a smaller size. “Why does everyone wear those outfits?” She asked “Well I don’t really know, everyone doesn’t, only most. Come with me I will get you something to eat.” He smiled and took her hand; he led her to one wall were there was a small outlet. “What do you want?” He asked “What do you mean?” She inquired “Cooked, raw, blood, bone? What?” She was taken aback “Cooked I guess.” He tapped the wall above the outlet twice, and inside a plate fell with what looked like a steak on it. She knew it wasn’t but was happy to have some illusion. She took the plate and walked back to the table; as she sat down she realized every one was staring at her. All the sudden a chant went up, it wasn’t even a chant just a synchronized roar. The room exploded with the sound, hands beating on tables, the roar, stomping feet, all at the same time. She knew they were waiting for her to take a bite so she did as expected. She picked up the steak and took a bite, and was surprised to find it was delicious. It had a sweet flavor to it, like corn beef. She grinned with her mouth closed. A cheer went up; one by one the people in the room went past and introduced themselves. She found out that J.R was a gorgeous Native-American with flowing black hair, and black eyes that cut as surely as the razor blade in his belt. Benta was a woman about twenty-five with brown hair and gorgeous green eyes. She wore a very short leather skirt and a vest with no under shirt. “Uhm… Did Eric find you too?” Benta smiled and nodded “Yeah, I have been here four years. It’s a bit strange at first, but the foods good. Strangely enough.” “Is everyone here a cannibal?” “Well, no. We get normal food sometimes but…Well we live in an alley. We really don’t have money.” “Well I had about a thousand on me and a house.” “What? Then what are you doing here?” “I was murdered. I didn’t really have a choice.” “Oh yeah, I forget stuff like that. If you think we would be able to go to your house I think you should talk to Fenet.” “Okay.” She stood up and walked over to where Fenet was apparently having a staring contest with the person she knew to be Eric. He was a small man, who seemed to be strung out, he had red eyes, and stringy hair, and his hands shook on the glass in front of him. She stood there watching for a moment until Fenet blinked. That’s when he finally noticed her, “Hello Mistress, having a good time?” “Yes I am. I was just wondering, I have a house and stuff why don’t we go there?” He stared at her for a moment, finally he smiled. ”Well Delta has control right now, if you want you can go up and talk to him when you finish eating. Just tap his shoulder, but make sure you back up, he might flip out.” “Okay” She said and went back to finish eating. When she was done she went back up the latter and walked to the chair. Delta was just sitting there, eyes closed. She tapped him on the shoulder and stepped away. He jerked awake teeth bared a growl rising in his throat. When he saw her he stopped and smiled. “Hi mistress.” He said, again there was a definite hint of malice in his voice. “How are you liking The Body?” “Uhm…Fine I guess. Fenet told me to come up and ask you if there was a way we could relocate the body to my house?” She asked He looked thoughtful, then he smiled. “I guess we could do that, you would have to tell me were it is. I already have your key.” “Do you have my money?” She asked “Yes I have it too. Now were is this house of yours?” She gave him directions and again he lay back in the chair and closed his eyes. She looked to the window and saw that she could see him walking. It was like she was looking out someone’s eyes. In fact she was, Fenet’s eyes to be exact. She noticed that there were other chairs sitting around the room. Seven of them, each had a nametag on it. She sat down in the chair marked with her name on it. She watched him walk down the street; every one stared at him. He laughed and she jumped when she realized that the speaker of the right ear was right above her head. In about fifteen minutes they reached her house and Delta took out the key from some hidden place in his attire. He walked inside and she sighed as she saw her house exactly as it had been before she was killed. It was hard for her to keep in mind, the fact that she was dead. Delta stood up from his chair and looked at her with a grin. He came to her and knelt in front of her, he lifted her hand as though he planned to kiss it. Instead as he brought the hand to his mouth he looked to her and a grin came into his eyes and he bit her hand so hard and sudden that he drew blood. He licked her hand and took a gulp of her blood, it was strange she felt the pain but it was like in a dream were it only seems like you feel it. When he was done she just stared at him; he laughed and stood up. “Thank you mistress. You could never know how much I needed that.” He said, she was at a loss. What was she supposed to say? “What did you just do?” she asked finally thinking of a question. He laughed and got back down on his knees again. “Absolutely nothing.” He smiled and picked up her hand again, and there was no wound. “How-“ “I killed you, I can do anything I want to you. If I didn’t want the wound to stay, it didn’t. And if I wanted to have you-“ He put his hands on her hips and she shivered, at that moment she knew she could deny him nothing. His hands traveled up her sides and to her shoulders, his hands gently traced the outline of her breasts in her corset. He was smiling and his thumb rested momentarily on the spot in the soft leather, his thumbs circled them and the spot became more pronounced. A flush went up her cheeks. And she let out a gasp. “I-I have to go to bed.” She said when she managed to get her composure back. He laughed. “You see what I mean now, do you? If I wanted to have you this way I could. I don’t know if I will or not I will have to have a few days to think about it.” He looked at her with that piercing gaze that she had come to know so well, in her few short hours in The Body. She shivered, she wanted him yet she did not. Her body and her mind disagreed, and the winner would be Delta’s decision. “May I ask who killed you?” She finally managed to say. “Well I don’t think you would believe me if I told you.” He said with a laugh. “Try me.” “Do you really want to know?” “Yes of course.” “Well, okay. But I warned you, It was Denny.” “What?” “I told you, he also killed Reble, and several others who live in the below levels. He is quite the little monster when you get him hungry.” “So he has this power over you?” “Yes but he would never have used it like this.” He took her by the hand and led her to her own room. He started unlacing her corset immediately and it was only seconds before they were on the bed, nude. She responded to his every touch, his ever move, his every thought it seemed. She didn’t feel as if she was being forced, more like that she was doing exactly what she should be doing. It was again like a dream all the colors blended and changed and every move seemed slow, meditated. She did not hear any sound, only feeling and sight. She was sure she was screaming but there was no sound. If his attitude at any other time had been strange his attitude during sex was the strangest. He seemed to be able to read her mind and do every thing she thought, but she was sure it was the other way around. There was no end really only the realization that he was gone and she was once again dressed. She was confused but she was happy. She looked around and realized that it was no longer strange to her. It was home; it didn’t matter that she was dead, or that she lived inside some ones head. It just didn’t matter, because she was home. “
