2 Sided Disc

Family sucks sometimes. Anyone new to me is going to have to break down a steel door, go through a cage of hungry cannibals, and then find their way through a twenty year maze. Note, even the most amazing person can deceive you.

Side 1:

 

What a sad little girl...

With a broken heart...

Disfunctional heroes

Betrayed by friends

Torn open wounds

Never ending emotional pain

She needed someone

Her kind smile was plastered on

Then came a new stranger

One to care for her

To make her laugh

Share secrets with her

Come to each other in anger

To be the other's encouraging hand

 

Side 2:

 

The new stranger never seen this side

It was dark and disturbing

Deceitful and heartless

The girl used the stranger

She buried her in the dirt

Using her as a scape goat whenever

Setting flames that burned so high

Reaking of fake kind words

Everything went as planned

They believed the girl

Never the stranger

In truth, there were never any tears

Only fallen rain drops on the girl's face

Now, red leaks from the stranger's eyes

 

Honestly, this is based on something that happened to me.  I never really write about anything in my life, but I felt that this deserved to be written.  It basically takes the cake after everything that's happened in my time so far.  Congratulations girl, I didn't think - with your wits - you were capable of it, but you got me.  One shot made fifty hits; bravo!

Does one need to know the details to understand a thought or feeling?...No. This is an original and Brilliant piece of work! I think that your release of emotions concerning an event that took place in your life is a healthy thing to do...not to mention the creativity that flows with it. I love the ending line, it really hits home and makes the reader think about the meaning of the poem. The emotional impact feels so raw and honest and for some reason I can't help but think this would make great punk-rock song...great job, I really love this, especially the phrases "disfunctional heroes" and "reaking of fake kind words". Beautifully done.

I liked this one also. Not only is it personal but i loved how instead of calling this pome 2 faced or something emo you wree creative when calling it a 2 sided disk. Thats awesome. and yes, i agree i had 2 best friends stab me in the back 2 years ago when i moved to a different state. It was then that i stoped trusting people. anyone can stab you in the back and thats what sucks about this world. Anyway. Great Poem, great job
