New Town

New Town

A Poem by Death Stalker

The wailing of the siren,
vibrated off the buildings.
Everyone left, abandoning a town
that is soon to be destroyed
by the approaching tornado.

They even abandoned a group of people.
Inside the mental ward, they listen
to the siren, absorbing the beauty of the sound.

They don't want to lose the beauty of the sound.
they pushed the door that kept them inside,
it creaks open without any problem.
singling their freedom
they wander on the cold lonely street.

After a little while,
a gun shop came to view,
they are determinate to keep the siren blazing.
They broke through the window to grab all the stuff inside.
With the siren blazing, they wait for the others to come
to begin a war for their freedom.

Love it, such powerful words. I could hear the siren as I was reading. Not sure if this was just a coincidence but I saw your favorite movie is silent hill and felt a strong connection between the two. I get tons of inspiration from my favorite cinema
