A Poem by Death Stalker

A single thought, and I can imagine it already

standing there, many people dressed in black
their face red and puffy from excessive crying
some of them I know, they're my friends and
family. I looked at the coffin, and I see myself
dressed all nice and holding a rotten rose of
death.

The priest, experience with mourning people,
does not care about my dead body laying
in front of him, speaks about the lies of me.
They do not know my true self, they're getting
on top of the stage and tell lies about myself.

They think they are telling the truth, but they
are wrong, they don't know me, so they spit
out lies! Only I and I myself knows the truth.

I woke up from this imagination. A simple
thought, could really bring out the worst
in people, if they obsessed too much.

Death Stalker
A person asked me "What do you think will happen if you die?" and I decided to base my poem off just that.

I really enjoyed this. I myself am struggling with letting out the real me and shattering the perceptions of me that people have. It shouldn't be this difficult but like your last line states, "A simple thought, could really bring out the worst in people, if they obsessed too much" I get into my head and the thoughts swirl around and take over.

I loved this stanza. Good work :)
