Sunset

A Poem by Death Stalker
"

A basic idea of what I go through everyday at school

"
Fake smile, fake eagerness to do schoolwork, fake laugh
that's what everyday is. I put on an act.
It helps when some of my friend is a gamer addict
because I can hide the true self and put on my gamer act

some of my friends are cheerful
this is the hardest to put an act
because I hate being cheerful for 8 hours.

when I act somewhat like myself
during schoolwork, the teachers
automatically become concern
so I had to put on an act
and be eager about schoolwork

all of that, just to keep their noses
off my true self.
When I get on this bright yellow oven on wheels
and go home, my true self have a chance to stretch out
and when I get home, I can finally drop the act
and be myself.

'When I get on this bright yellow oven on wheels'...love this one!
i've been there and know how exhausting this pretending is. but now i made up my mind about it and no pretending anymore. if someone cant cope wid ma moods or sadness at times, well, too bad for them. no one is happy all the time so why the hell should i pretend. i'm me, you take me this way or bed luck for you ;)
keep up your writing!

I agree with this poem, everybody at my school has masks on and doesnt really know their true self so they pretend to be someting they're not. I liked the lastt stanza also. Good work
