The Serpent and The Dragon

The Serpent and The Dragon

A Poem by Bobby Madden
"

Fantasy/horror.

"
Monstrosities awaken from the Sempiternal Dark
A palace of evil shines in the rays of the Crescent
Holy Chapels bleed upon sacred grounds
And victims of calamities now linger in mist
The Hinterlands are littered with ruins of cathedrals
Souls are imprisoned by the Masters of Time
Bloodlust and malice are lurking in woods
Ice Wind is breathing as oppressors approach
Flesh becomes porcelain and fractures and falls
Archbishops invoke apparitions from seas
The Serpent and the Dragon form a convenant in fire
And angels of black wings have conjured the Eclipse
Practitioners of White Magic call upon the skies
The Cosmic rises against Demonic Reign
Incantations echo in dimensions of Starlight
And airborne ships sail through red cloud
Flesh is sought from hunger and lust
Statues defaced as steeples descend
Elementals bring justice upon treacherous fiends
And malignant spirits in tangible form
The rage of Leviathan manifests above soil
Phantasms arise amid the leafless trees
Blood and venom permeate water
And sunrays shine upon Eternal Swords
