On The Zircon SwordA Poem by Bobby MaddenA epic piece.Shards of ice are falling With fire all around Trees ablaze The
smoke arising Time to
stand and fight Adorned
in helm and mail And armed with weapons big and small The crest of the king upon my chest No enemy
shall escape The might and courage in my heart Paralleled by none I wield
the blade I raise
it high The
firelight and moonlight On the zircon sword Ashes of trees and frozen water In the air and on the ground Charging through I never falter No one can defeat me Over the hills and through the valleys The blade of justice flies The
monstrous ghouls attempt to oppose But nothing can conquer the sword They bring their serpents They swarm and attack But the foolish attempts of the legions of
malice Will never succeed as long as I breathe The flesh and blood
of fiendish foes On the zircon sword There has never
been a battle I have not won A formidable
fighter I am Across the rivers And on through the blackened plains I go to free the people From the tyrants with devil wings They plunder and pillage They growl in the darkness But my sword will not rest Until all the oppressors are slain The sky goes from blue To a deep blood red And fire descends from the clouds The mountains are burning The desolate lands are infested with evil But a virtuous hero has finally come Wounds will heal Pain will fade There is nothing I will not endure All will be vanquished My people will thrive The power is mine to unleash © 2013 Bobby Madden |
