Fine

Fine

A Poem by t.m.
"

I am always fine. Never again will you see me cry.

"
My life is a fake smile
While I become someone else
For a little while.
It makes me hurt but
I am stubborn and refuse to cry.
I am always fine.

The house is dark
Because everyone stays separate.
Nobody notices the things above
That help me sleep and live my
Happy little lie.
I am always fine.

Underneath my layers of shirts
My heart stutters.
I am used and abused and
People wonder why
I sleep all the time.
I am always fine.

The hand I hold is my own
And the love I give
Likes me to be alone.
It breaks my heart,
Never in a straight line.
I am always fine.

Thank you! It's the line that I'm always trying and failing to express.
i have walked with these words on my lips for years, there comes a day when it isn't enough to say the words

I agree. And it's difficult to get them right, if I ever can.
